yes, sort of like this! I like it better than the color version. The black and white has nice tones, light and shadows, and I think intrigue. Looks great!!!
 
I wasn't sure how to treat this. Digital monochrome is not like film--in that, a certain film combined with a certain developer and paper yields a predictable print. Sure, there are lots of filters in my Nik Collection but they don't stack up right in my estimation. Others would disagree... :unsure:

Much of my usual monochrome usually falls into two camps: high-res, broad contrast or 'gritty' harder contrast. Neither of those well-trod paths looked good on this image. I opted for a smooth, creamier look that could still hold a bit of drama and tension.

It certainly conjures up a different set of feelings... :cool:
